This is a fragrant wine whose powerful aroma leaps out of the glass and takes control of your senses from the very beginning. The flavors abound with big layers of pear, apricot, and pineapple being the most dominate. Bright lemon-yellow-green colour. Modest intensity aromatics, though the palate picks up the relay and delivers significant depth and weight. Well-measured lemon-citrus notes are gently framed with subtle wood influence, leading into a long, lingering finish. A superb California chardonnay for the money. Tasted July 2012.
